  • Advancing the ideas of good sportsmanship and fair play through officiating in baseball, and respect of baseball officials at all levels of competition.
  • Providing educational training of high school baseball rules and field mechanics to advance the skills of baseball officials at all levels of high school competition.
  • Conducting umpire evaluations to identify umpire problems and using positive mentoring and coaching to train on those areas identified.
  • Developing and maintaining a membership consisting of experienced and capable baseball umpires whose integrity is above reproach and who are actively engaged each year in officiating games.
  • Fostering a high standard of ethics, encouraging fair play and sportsmanship and promoting closer cooperation and better understanding among officials, athletic representatives, coaches, players, and the press.
